Advance Auto Parts Inc. (AAP US) rose $2.15, or 5.3 percent, to $42.56 and traded as high as $42.92. Analysts at A.G. Edwards said they consider yesterday's resignation announcement by Chief Executive Officer Michael Coppola to be favorable. The analysts expect shares of the second-largest U.S. retailer of car parts to rise as investors look ahead to a replacement.
