U.K. Benchmark Index Falls, Paced by Lonmin, BHP Billiton; Barclays Gains

(Bloomberg) -- U.K. stocks fell for the first time
in three days, led by Lonmin Plc after the mining company said it
will delay the sale of as much as 90,000 ounces of platinum. BHP
Billiton Plc and Xstrata Plc slid as copper retreated.

Barclays Plc paced advancing shares after Royal Bank of
Scotland Plc sweetened its 71.1 billion euro ($98.1 billion)
offer for ABN Amro Holding NV. GlaxoSmithKline Plc and BT Group
Plc advanced after brokerages raised their recommendation for the
companies' shares.

U.K. Phone Stocks, BT Group Gain; BAE Systems Plunges on U.S. Probe

(Bloomberg) -- U.K. phone stocks advanced, led by BT
Group Plc and Vodafone Group Plc, as investors bought shares of
companies that pay the highest dividends relative to share
prices.

BAE Systems Plc, Europe's biggest weapons maker, headed for
its steepest drop in 4 1/2 years after saying the U.S. started a
probe into the company's compliance with anti-corruption laws.

U.K. Benchmark FTSE 100 Recoups Losses; BT Group, Vodafone Shares Advance

(Bloomberg) -- U.K. stocks recovered earlier losses
as BT Group Plc and Vodafone Group Plc advanced.

The benchmark FTSE 100 Index lost 1.6, or less than 0.1
percent, to 6586.8 as of 2:18 p.m. in London after falling as
much as 0.7 percent.

UPDATE 1-KCBT says not going way of Winnipeg's ICE deal

(Reuters) - KANSAS CITY, Mo., June 22 - The Kansas City Board
of Trade is not interested in taking part in industry
consolidation, unlike its northern neighbor, the Winnipeg
Commodity Exchange, the KCBT said Friday.




Record volume and soaring membership values at the KCBT,
the largest futures market for hard red winter wheat, are
keeping member-owners content to keep the exchange independent
for now, said some long-time members and exchange officials.

European Stocks Rebound; Antofagasta, Rio Tinto Group, Ericsson Advance

(Bloomberg) -- European stocks rose as bond yields
retreated from five-year highs and Antofagasta Plc said 2007 will
be a ``good'' year, underpinning gains by mining companies.

UniCredit SpA, Italy's biggest lender, and phone company BT
Group Plc, paced an advance by companies that are the most
sensitive to lower interest rates. Antofagasta, a copper mining
company, climbed to a record. Ericsson AB rebounded from a one-
month low after Citigroup Inc. recommended shares of the world's
largest maker of wireless phone networks.
