Mexican markets end down on credit nerves

(Reuters) - MEXICO CITY, Aug 3 - Mexican stocks closed down
sharply on Friday and the peso weakened after Standard and
Poor's cut its outlook on Bear Stearns' debt, spooking
investors already nervous about the U.S. subprime mortgage
market.




The benchmark IPC stock index fell 2.38 percent to
29,671.77 points, while the peso currency slipped 0.28
percent to 10.987 per dollar.

UPDATE 1-KCBT says not going way of Winnipeg's ICE deal

(Reuters) - KANSAS CITY, Mo., June 22 - The Kansas City Board
of Trade is not interested in taking part in industry
consolidation, unlike its northern neighbor, the Winnipeg
Commodity Exchange, the KCBT said Friday.




Record volume and soaring membership values at the KCBT,
the largest futures market for hard red winter wheat, are
keeping member-owners content to keep the exchange independent
for now, said some long-time members and exchange officials.

DEALTALK-China's CITIC Securities has lofty IPO hopes

(Reuters) - HONG KONG/SHANGHAI, June 14 - Should China's
CITIC Securities command a valuation four times that of Goldman
Sachs?




The Beijing-based brokerage, China's largest, is looking to
raise more than $3 billion in a Hong Kong listing, according to
recent mainland media reports, emboldened by a
more-than-doubling of its Shanghai-listed shares so far this
year.
