(Bloomberg) -- Spanish stocks gained, pace by Banco Popular Espanol SA and Banco de Sabadell SA. Shares in Portugal were little changed.
Spain's benchmark IBEX 35 Index rose 0.4 percent to 14,678.9 at 9:21 a.m. in Madrid, as 23 out of 35 stocks advanced. Portugal's PSI-20 Index fell less than 0.1 percent to 12,324.65.
