U.S. Stock-Index Are Little Changed; Boeing, Apple Shares Drop in Europe

(Bloomberg) -- U.S. stock-index futures were little
changed before Boeing Co. and Apple Inc. publish earnings and a
report that may show the extent of the slowdown in the housing
market.

Shares of Boeing, the world's largest maker of commercial
airplanes, and Apple, the maker of the iPhone, declined in
Europe. Amazon.com Inc., the world's biggest online retailer,
surged after reporting second-quarter profit that topped
analysts' estimates.
