The Standard & Poor's/TSX Composite Index fell 237.71, or 1.7
percent, to 13,703.88, yesterday in Toronto. The Canadian benchmark
has declined 2.9 percent since June 1, and is headed for its
steepest weekly loss since the week ended March 2.
