U.K.'s FTSE 100 Index Falls, Led by GlaxoSmithKline; BP, Shell Shares Drop

(Bloomberg) -- U.K. stocks dropped, paced by
GlaxoSmithKline Plc after Merrill Lynch & Co. lowered its
recommendation on the shares to ``sell'' from ``neutral.''

BP Plc, Europe's second-largest oil company, and Royal
Dutch Shell Plc, the region's largest, also fell.
